How to Get There
The Liverpool Graduate Careers Festival 2010 will take place at St George’s Hall,
Liverpool in the heart of the city centre. The location of the venue can

By Car
The following directions have been recommended by Liverpool City Council
as the best routes to St George’s Hall from the M62 and the M53 via the
Wallasey Tunnel. You can plan your journey more specifically using the

From M62:
- When leaving the M62 travel in the middle lanes towards traffic signals.
- Following signs for City Centre continue forward onto A5080 (Edge Lane).
- Continue following signs for City Centre onto A5047.
- Following signs for Cathedrals turn left into Towerlands Street.
- Move immediately into right-hand lane following road round onto Irvine
Street.
- Continue forward onto A5047 (West Derby Street followed by Pembroke
Place).
- At traffic signals, turn left into Seymour Street following the road
round to the right onto Copperas Hill.
- Turn right into Skelhorne Street (previously a one way road in the
opposite direction as detailed on map below – this is no longer the
case).
- At traffic signals turn right onto Lime Street continuing forward past
St George’s Hall on left.
- Immediately past St George’s Hall (just after traffic signals) turn left
into William Brown Street, a small cobbled road.
- Turn left onto plateau (at fountain) outside St George’s Hall to park*.
From M53:
- Upon leaving the Wallasey Tunnel follow signs for the City Centre onto
Scotland Road continuing forward onto Byrom Street.
- Keep in left-hand lane and at traffic signals turn left onto Hunter
Street.
- Immediately take right-hand lane. At second set of traffic signals turn
right and continue forward onto Norton Street.
- Continue forward onto Seymour Street following the road round to the
right onto Copperas Hill.
- Turn right into Skelhorne Street (previously a one way road in the
opposite direction as detailed on map – this is no longer the case).
- At traffic signals turn right onto Lime Street continuing forward past
St George’s Hall on left.
- Immediately after first set of traffic signals past St George’s Hall
turn left into William Brown Street, a small cobbled road.
- Turn left onto plateau outside St George’s Hall to park*.
* Car parking is reserved at the venue for exhibitors. Details will be
sent to exhibitors prior to the event. For other visitors, the nearest
public car parks are at Queen's Square (behind Marriott Hotel) or near
Liverpool Lime Street station.
By Train
Intercity services run from major towns and cities into Liverpool Lime
Street Station. The average time from London is 2.5 hours. Leaving Lime
Street Station by the main exit, St George's Hall is the large stone building
